Chilly Cheese Toast

Chilly Cheese Toast

Food Blogging Marathon from 2/9/2013 to 30/9/2013. Each day a new alphabet. 4 categories.

Today it is C for Chilly Cheese Toast

Chilly Cheese Toast

 Ingredients:

8 slices bread of your choice
Salted butter to spread on the bread slices
10 cubes of processed cheese, grated
1/4 cup  finely chopped red capsicum
1/4 cup sweet corn kernels
1 tblsp finely chopped green chilly or to taste
1 tblsp finely chopped garlic
salt to taste

Method:

Butter the bread and keep on a baking tray.

Pre heat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius for at least 10 minutes. Mix lightly together grated cheese, corn kernels, chopped capsicum, chopped chilies, chopped garlic and salt.

Be careful with the salt as the cheese and butter are salty and you will need very little of it. Divide the mixture in 8  parts and spread on each bread slice. Bake in hot oven for 10 to 12 minutes or till the cheese melts and gets a light golden colour.

Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
