One of my old quilts. It is made by using scraps of leftover fabric from my daughters dress and other sewing projects. I had collected a whole lot of scraps and thought a simple 9 patch would be easy. wanted to make it look different so added a sashing of neutral colour to make it the size I wanted. It covers my huge double bed nicely. It does not have batting as there is hardly any winter where I live. I have machine quilted along the sashing . A simple but very fondly used quilt for the last 20 years.
When my youngest daughter was a baby she would love to play I spy with this quilt. She would ask about each print and to whose dress it belonged. :)
